learning about life from yoga

Isn’t it funny, the stories we tell ourselves about what we want and who we are. Everything we have experienced in life is boiled down to stories. The stories we use to interpret our own life events once past.  That is the interesting aspect of humanity. I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want out of life. Who am I? What do I contribute to this world?

Today, inspiration revealed itself after a yoga class I took with Ashleigh Sergeant through My Yoga Online. Quite fitting if you ask me! She reminded me to reconnect with my intentions. To have the courage to leap forward into the world offering myself authentically. This is the practice of Hanumanasana.

This reminds me that the best way to serve others is by focusing on our gifts that we have to offer. Life is about discovering and nurturing those gifts.  What are each of our own unique gifts? I think I’m starting to figure it out now.  It is definitely a long process of telling stories to uncover the authenticity of self.

Being open to your own unique voice allows the space to fully experience your gift of service, your authenticity, your passion.
